概要 Against the backdrop of recent advances in medical technologies and specializations, “the Basic Practice Guidelines for the Clinical Engineer” was revised in 2010, and the Clinical Engineer was qualified for pacemaker operations on the basis of these guidelines. As a result, the number of clinical engineers engaged in pacemaker operations increased. According to a questionnaire survey conducted by the Japan Society of Clinical Engineers in 2018, more than 7.9% of all clinical engineers are engaged in pacemaker operations. However, it is difficult even for qualified clinical engineers to use the programmer used in pacemaker operations - the difficulty was in the learning of all the special functions provided in pacemakers by the five pacemaker manufacturers in Japan. There are few hospitals where the pacemaker operations are exclusively overseen by clinical engineers, and these hospitals receive support from the respective manufacturers. We have developed the HF manual utilizing AR, which can assist in pacemaker operations even by inexperienced clinical engineers. The results showed that the HF manual was more effective and useful than the paper manual.
