| 概要 | In addition to its potential value as an antibacterial substance, the (R)-3-hydroxybutyrate oligomer (3HBO) also holds promise as a building block for various polymers. To construct an efficient 3HBO production system, we examined the coexpression of molecular chaperones and a polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) synthase derived from Bacillus cereus YB-4. As a result, coexpression of chaperone proteins enhanced both the amount of active PHA synthase and the production yield of 3HBO. |
