概要 | Recently, a method for the secretory production of low- to medium-molecular-weight (R)-3-hydroxybutyrate oligomers (3HBO) from recombinant Escherichia coli strains harboring polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) synthase genes has been developed. In this study, we successfully produced microbial 3HBO capped with a diethylene glycol (DEG) terminal (3HBO-DEG) by supplementing the culture medium with DEG as a chain transfer (CT) agent. Furthermore, we evaluated the usability of the secreted 3HBO-DEG as a macromonomer for polymeric materials. |
