概要 | Over the last decade, the number of Japanese university students studying Chinese has been increasing rapidly. However, the courses taught at universities have no connections with Chinese certification tests. As a result, many students find it difficult to maintain their motivation during a term, and cannot find a goal for the next step after they finish the course. To solve these problems, we are developing a new active-learning Chinese text. It has two parts: (1) a card-game-style teaching tool for use in class and (2) a Web text for use outside of class. The method it employs facilitates learning based on how the brain works, and uses a learning style for memorizing vocabulary based on a card game (called Karuta in Japanese). The text makes it easy to remember vocabulary items up to the pre-fourth grade of the Chinese proficiency test. Experiments were carried out to verify its effectiveness. |
