概要 | To enhance the transparency of the copolyester poly(lactate-co-3-hydroxybutyrate) [P(LA-co-3HB)], which consists of lactate (LA) units and 3-hydroxybutyrate (3HB) units, increasing the LA fraction is effective. In this study, an exogenous D-lactate dehydrogenase gene (ldhD) derived from Lactobacillus was introduced into Escherichia coli along with polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA)-biosynthetic genes. As a result, the recombinant E. coli strains harboring the ldhD gene synthesized P(LA-co-3HB) with a higher LA fraction compared to the strains without the ldhD gene. |
