概要	It is known that, to smoothly communicate with foreigners, it is important to understand their culture and social customs. In this study, we investigated the social customs in Japan and China. In particular, we collected twelve topics on the difference in the social customs in daily life between these two countries. Then, we considered designing a multimedia text using these topics. For this purpose, first, we carried out interviews in Beijing and Taipei. Second, we prepared other multimedia materials (videos, photos, sounds, etc.). Third, we constructed a text using the authoring software called Macromedia Flash. Finally, we invited students in Tokyo University of Technology who are taking the Chinese course, and carried out an evaluation experiment. Most of the students showed their interest in this text, and also thought highly of it.
