| 概要 | The biosynthetic pathway for the copolyester P(LA-co-3HB), composed of lactate (LA) and 3-hydroxybutyrate (3HB) units, along with the pathway supplying medium-chain-length (R)-3-hydroxyalkanoate (MCL-3HA) monomers via the fatty acid biosynthesis pathway, was introduced into Escherichia coli. As a result, a novel polyester with a new monomer composition was biosynthesized using glucose as the sole carbon source. Furthermore, the synthesized polyester exhibited transparency. |
