概要 | This paper develops a method to establish a small-signal transfer function for hysteretic buck DC-DC converters in continuous conduction mode (CCM). A hysteresis comparator is modeled such that it has a certaingain calculated to be the ratio between the output voltage change andthe voltage difference of both input terminals in transition. Since the signal input to the comparator becomes non-linear, the slope of the signal at the boundaries of a hysteresis window uses a quasi-linearapproximation to calculate the required voltage difference at inputs. The overall comparator's gainis obtained by averaging gains at each charging and discharging phases of the inductor using the duty factorD. An actual circuit is designed, andits frequency characteristics are simulated by SPICE. Simulation results are compared with those of the calculated transfer function. They are found to be in good agreement.
