概要	The purpose of this study is to document what teachers experience in class and to disclose the explanations and characterizations they ascribe to demotivation of students. In order to permit a relatively detailed description, group discussions were conducted with nice teachers from junior high schools, senior high schools and universities in Japan. Participants were invited to express their own views on the demotivation of their students based on their experiences; their comments were analyzed qualitatively.
